Interclass Endball

Today Room 8's Endball team played against Room 1.  It was tough battle but lots of fun.  Unfortunately Room 1 beat us but we played hard and never gave up.

Music with Miss Fisher

 Today we had music with Miss Fisher. We sang 21 degrees is the sun, Mihi Mai Ra, Keep your head up and You'll never take that away form me. Well done to Danielle and Olivia who volunteered to lead the singing.

Room 8's Soldiers

Room 8 were given the opportunity to try on a World War Two uniform.  They found it to be very itchy, uncomfortable and extremely heavy.

Our Gallipoli Lunch

Last week for homework we researched what our soldiers in Gallipoli would have to eat. We then made hard tack biscuits. This week we brought in our Gallipoli lunches before we were trained by the army cadets.

Army CadetsTraining Session

Today Roy, Casey and Ben came to Waimea Intermediate School to work with rooms 8 and 9 . They are army cadets and put both classes through their paces by teaching them drills and fitness. Great fun was had by all. The boys did a fantastic job, thanks very much.
